Message from the Director

Rosie the Riveter is a historical icon who has never been portrayed on the modern screen. She brings inspiration to girls and women around the world, and I wanted to give her a story that matched her strength. Taking real events from numerous “Real Rosies” experiences during the war I created a character that can represent the tenacity and fearlessness of all the women behind the war effort, while also portraying the struggles they went through then, and what women continue to go through today.

Rosie has been a driving force in my life, and it has been my dream to give her a story she deserves that promotes equality, intersectional feminism, and camaraderie among women. Girls should grow up knowing they can be their own heroes, and that is what this film is about. Thanks to the amazing Southern California aviation, veteran, and WWII enthusiast communities Rosie can now be appreciated on the big screen. I am so grateful to everyone that helped me honor the Real Rosies, and I cannot wait to see Rose shine in theaters around the world.
